Sterling McClellan Post 142

The "Early Renewal" Membership Campaign for 2024 Began on July 1, 2023!

As of 11/11/2023,  Legionnaires Have Attained a 78% Renewal Rate!

Thank you for your support and let's keep the drive going!!

If you haven't renewed early for

2024 yet, why not do it today!

(A reminder: Your 2024 Membership covers the remainder of your 2023 membership as well as all the way through to December 31, 2024!)

____________________________________________

Post 142 annual dues have finally increased after 12 years.

The 2024 annual dues are: $55.00

Remember, your current 2023 membership is valid through December 31, 2023, but the American Legion's membership is nearly two million strong! It is impractical to renew that many members in a short period of time near the end of the calendar year, hence, the National's renewal campaign begins each July. Many posts, including Post 142, hop on that "bandwagon" and begin renewals for the coming year in July, as well.

Early renewal for 2024 means that your "2024" card is valid from its date of issue through December 31, 2024, covering the remainder of the 2023 dues year as well as the entire 2024 dues year.

Therefore, no member is "losing" any membership

priveledges for either 2023 or 2024 by renewing early!

The Post 142 Legionnaires are responding most positively to the 2024 Campaign with nearly 10% of the Legion membership submitting renewals within the first four days of the campaign! Thanks to All!

Renewal is easy and can be accomplished in one of several ways:

     1. Renew at the Post with the Bartender on duty with cash, check, or               credit card.

     2. Mail your prsonal check for $55.00 made out to American Legion                 Post 142. Please, for your financial security, do not send cash

        through the mail!

     3. Renew online utilizing your credit card. Log on to:

         a) legion.org

         b) click the red "Renew" box near the top right of the screen

         c) follow the prompts and directions to complete your renewal

While the legion.org site is for renewing Legion memberships, links for renewing dues for the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) and for the American Legion Auxiliary are displayed as well. Simply click on your unit's link and follow the prompts and directions to renew your

membership in Squadron 142 or the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 142.

With your help, let's make 2024 another "Banner Year" for Post 142!

Thank you for your continuing support of Post 142!
