Look Around Post 142 and Notice Our Current Members!
That's right! There's nothing wrong with your vision. Some of our newer members reflect the growing number of women serving honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States, and who join the noble ranks of U.S. military veterans. The American Legion is proud to have these veterans as comrades!
Did you know?
According to the Defense Department (March, 2019), women now make up:
20 percent of the Air Force
19 percent of the Navy
15 percent of the Army
9 percent of the Marine Corps
Women now constitute approximately 10 percent of the current veteran population, the fastest-growing demographic in the veterans' ranks.
Post 142 welcome these veterans to our ranks!
