The American Legion Sterling McClellan Post142 has been a proud participant in the American Legion's 100 years plus of serving American veterans in and about the Pompano Beach/Broward area for nearly three-quarters of a century. Post 142 has grown into a strongly unified "Family" consisting of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 142, the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 142, and the American Legion Riders Chapter 142, all sharing the underlying mission of service to veterans, their families, and our community. Post 142 is proud to maintain a close affiliation with two additional, fellow, veterans service organizations, The Disabled American Veterans Gold Coast Chapter 133 and the Intracoastal Detachment #1058 Marine Corps League serving American veterans each by its own uniquely valuable mission.
